Cailyn in a dinosaur track Cailyn and Daddy exploring the river. Daddy helping Jessica to play too. Cailyn getting totally wet in her clothes. Cailyns lost treasure floating away.
Yesterday we went on a family outing to Dinosaur Valley, a State Park in Glenrose, Texas. We had a great time. We were able to see and touch some dinosaur tracks. It was really cool to stand in the same place a dinosaur did millions of years ago. Cailyn actually go to sit in a footprint. We followed some trails and found a great swimming hole along the Paluxy river, but it was too hard to get to with the girls(you had to swim across to get to the beach) so Cailyn and I just got to put our feet in the water. Later we found a little beach with shallow enough water for Cailyn to enjoy. As you can see from one of the pictures, she left behind some lost treasure. It was so fun to just take our time to enjoy God's creations and imagine part of the world's history at the same time.
For some reason the website won't allow me to add pictures to this blog, so I will try another one. Maybe someday I will figure out how to use this. As for now, bare with me please.
The other day, Cailyn and I decided that we would do a make-over while Jessica was sleeping. We had a blast playing with make-up and checking ourselves out in the mirror. The only bad part was having to wash the make-up off later that day.
Today has been a pretty good day. Jason had a test in Weatherford today and we got to see him midday on his way to work. That was a pleasant treat for us. I would say the highlight today was going to the park this evening, we don't usually get to go as a family. It is always fun to see Cailyn interact with other kids her same age and be more daring on the jungle gym. Sometimes I can't believe how big she is. She is so fun to watch and giggle with. Some days I wish that she would just be able to do more for herself, while other days I am wishing she would stay this age forever. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed having her around. She is helping to keep me young. I am able to pretend and dance and dress up again; things that I have not been able to do(without looking insane) since I was a little girl. Thank you Cailyn!
**Why do kids only want something when someone else has shown an interest in it?
**Why does the panic button on your keychain have to be red? Why is that the only button kids push?
**Why do they put a tag on the side of the garment when they have already put one by the collar? Couldn't they just put them together?
