March Madness

I made the goal to take more pictures in March and I succeeded. I can assure you they are not any better, just more of them. These are slightly out of order, but here you go.

March 24th we took some bluebonnet pictures. I have to say they are not my favorite, but if we don't get out again, then at least we have these. The sun was really bright and it was hard to get good smiles because of it.

Coralee-almost 6 months old

*about to sit up on her own

*doing baby push-ups

*will get on all 4s and rock

*loves bananas, hates green veggies

*is all smiles if you talk to her

*adores her siblings

David-3 years old

*eats his weight in corn dogs(horn dogs) every week

*eats non-stop from breakfast to naps, then chooses to starve until the next morning(unless dinner is corn dogs)

*fights "bad guys" or "strangers" everyday as either He-Man, Batman, or a ninja

*loves his sisters-all 3 of them

*sometimes think he is the boss

*fully potty trained

Cailyn-7 years old (holding Coralee)

*excellent reader

*learns quickly

*enjoys running and can run 3 miles without stopping(when someone is running with her to encourage her)

*is very observant and wants those around her to be happy and like her(with obvious exception of siblings on occasion)

*is one of my best friends

Jessica-4 years old

*is accident prone

*is ALL emotion(which is good & bad)

*has the cutest dimple I have ever seen

*changes into her "high heels"(old church shoes) everyday as soon as she gets home from school "because they make a sound when I walk"

*is best friends with David

*absolutely HAS to give Coralee a kiss every time she sees her

*has pretty bad allergies(new discovery-poor thing)

*still has baby fat(which I LOVE)

*would wear 3-4 different outfits everyday if I let her, or aren't around to stop her

*is a great cuddler at nap time

===========================================

We got a new little walker for Coralee. She is not quite tall enough for her feet to touch the ground yet, but eventually it will be really good for her.

She can at least watch everyone better.

And there is a lot to watch.

Coralee LOVES her daddy. She likes to play and giggle with him on mommy and daddy's bed.

First day of Spring Break. Everyone decided to play on Mommy's bed. As you can tell Jessica got upset about something(once again) and was throwing a little Jessie fit.

Isn't she gorgeous?

Coralee loves her Cailyn!

I am not sure if David ever got dressed that day.

Coralee practicing her sitting up.

Evidence of children at play!

Aunt Nae's birthday happened to be during Spring Break so we put our creative skills(aka pinterest) to work and made her some crayon art. It was so much fun.

Happy Birthday Lynnae!

=============================================

Cailyn has piano lessons and this is some activity that can be seen in her teacher's living room while we wait. At least they are getting along and not destroying her house.

After lessons we met Maycie, Keaton, and Becca on their way home from the Zoo. We ended up taking Becca home with us for a couple of days. Definitely the highlight of the week. We LOVE you, Rebecca!

Handsome Keaton.

Beautiful, headstrong Maycie.

Napping on the hammock at around 9 in the morning. Jessica doing all the work!

We had to pull all the beads out to make necklaces of course. They really enjoyed it and amazingly enough we still have those necklaces.

What would Spring Break be without a trip to the park?

We met Maycie and Keaton in Waco for them to pick up Rebecca, but first we had to spend some time at the kids museum, and meet Da for lunch.

We love the water room!

and the music room

They were having a magician do a show and Rebecca was chosen to be a helper. It was so cute to watch her shoot that gun at the apple on the other kid's head.

Then there is the Bearathon. This year marks the 3rd year in a row we have signed up for the Bearathon. However, seeing as the race was cancelled in 2010 due to bad weather, we will count only 2011 and 2012.

Last year Jason ran an ultra trail marathon the week before, so he decided to jog with me. It was really nice to have him encouraging me through the hills. But, this year he didn't do the ultra so he wanted to run for time. I was really nervous to run it by myself, but then a good friend of mine from High School decided to "whip herself into shape" to run with me. I am so glad she did. It was really fun(well, as fun as it can be running 13.1 miles). Thank you Noelle for pushing me and chatting with me. I sure wish we lived closer so we could run together frequently. Another pleasant surprise was that another person we knew growing up was running and her mom and sister were cheering her on. So, 2 or 3 times throughout the race we had someone we know cheering us also. Thank you Marylin and Nancy, you have no idea how much your smiles and cheering helped!

Here we are in the parking garage just before the race.

Last year, I was not quite ready and almost 3 months pregnant when I ran, but his year I felt a lot more prepared and AM NOT PREGNANT so I expected to do better. I cut around 15 minutes off my overall time and didn't hurt as bad as last year. Although even now, several weeks later, I have no desire to run again. I will eventually get back out there and keep myself in shape for 5Ks and 10Ks but I don't really want to do anything bigger. I will leave that to the crazies, like my cute husband.

Here we are hours after the race at Dad's house. That is a true smile because the race is finally O.V.E.R!!!!!

Next post is the last week of March and you will see why it gets its own post.
