Families Can Be Together Forever

There is this couple in our Ward who has struggled their entire married life to have children of their own. They had multiple pregnancies but were unable to keep any of the babies. Well, about 2 years ago, they adopted a little boy and named him Isaiah. They brought him home from the hospital. Not long after that they were able to adopt a little girl and named her Cora, she is almost 4 now. As if that wasn't blessing enough, Isaiah's biological parents had another little boy and gave him for adoption to this couple also. They brought Isaiah's birth brother, Elijah, home from the hospital also.

Well, as adoptions go, it took a while for them to be legally final, but it finally happened a few weeks ago. When this couple got the word that it was final, they immediately made an appointment for the Temple to be sealed as a family.

We have become quite close to this couple, and were invited to attend the sealing. We met my parents at the Temple and witnessed the beautiful union of these remarkable people. Seeing as the children were quite young, the ceremony was very interesting, but one of the most wonderful things I have ever seen. I will never forget the overwhelming power of the Spirit that moment there in the Dallas Temple. They are a beautiful eternal family.
