Today's Blessing

Temperatures that allow me to be bundled up.

Friday it got into the 80s and Saturday morning-tonight it has been in the 40s. I LOVE IT! It was foggy and wet outside today and it is supposed to freeze tonight. I am sure that even if it does it will all be melted by 10 tomorrow morning, but at least there will be evidence that we are experiencing SOME winter here. I love winter, however, I realize that I am Texan through and through because I don't ever want to live in snow for months at a time. It sure is beautiful, but a hassle none the less. What I need is a summer home in the north so I don't have to deal with Texas summers.

Why?

**Why do kids only want something when someone else has shown an interest in it?

**Why does the panic button on your keychain have to be red? Why is that the only button kids push?

**Why do they put a tag on the side of the garment when they have already put one by the collar? Couldn't they just put them together?

**Why can't things fall apart by themselves, instead of everything at once?

**Why do people drive ridiculously slow when you are behind them, but then speed up when you try to pass them?

**Why do you suddenly start dropping everything when you become pregnant?

**Why is it so easy to see others' strengths and then think they are perfect, but we can't when we look at ourselves?

**Why do babies eat just about every kind of baby food, but then become picky eaters when you put table food in front of them?

**Why do kids throw up in the middle of the night and not during the day?

** Why does everyone say 'terrible twos' when three is much, much worse?

**Why is it that one can be SO tired all day long and then lie wide awake at night without being able to sleep?

**Why, or how, do kids know exactly where to stand to be directly in between you and the TV?

** Why is there still dirt on your kitchen floor when you get down to mop, even if you carefully swept?

** Why can you fit the groceries in your cart while you are shopping, but after you buy them and put them in bags they suddenly don't fit in the basket?

** Why do kids LOVE processed chicken nuggets from McDonald's but won't eat 'real' chicken at the dinner table?

** Why do babies go 'stinky' in a brand new diaper within 5 minutes of putting it on?
